Charlie received his BBA from the University of Texas in Arlington and joined Rauscher Pierce Refsnes, now the Royal Bank of Canada, where he started as a NASDAQ market maker. He eventually managed the firm’s proprietary trading group, where he was responsible for allocating the firm’s equity risk capital, then went on to manage a private equity fund. Charlie joined Rhoads Lucca, now Smith Anglin, in 2008 to oversee the management of the firm’s alternative long-short mutual fund, as well as to advise high net worth clients.
Charlie’s 24 years of investment experience has been in the capital markets ranging from institutional and proprietary trading to managing private equity and advising high net worth individuals. Charlie enjoys spending time with his wife of 25 years, Stephanie, and his two children, Chas and August. He also enjoys cycling, Jiu Jitsu and other sporting activities.
