Wayne brings over 30 years of experience to Smith Anglin Financial. A native of Iowa, he believes that creating trust and putting the client’s interest first is the most important value that can be provided as an advisor. Wayne earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Boston University and an engineering degree from Iowa State University. Wayne also has enjoyed being an adjunct professor of Corporate Finance at the University level.

Wayne and his wife Glynis have four adult children, all of whom have served in the military. Wayne, Jr. is a graduate of the US Naval Academy, served as a Marine Corps infantry captain and now resides in Dallas with his wife Aynne and their son, Wayne III. Daughter Kate and her husband Billy are both Air Force captains living in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Jack attended Army West Point and is now completing his Masters of Mechanical Engineering at RIT, as well as fulfilling his passion as a disciple maker and missionary. Elizabeth is in her final year at the US Air Force Academy, earning a civil engineering degree and will soon be a pilot in the US Air Force.

Outside of work, Wayne enjoys biking and supporting the military. Glynis competes in the Sr. Olympics, is an entrepreneur, was crowned Mrs. Iowa 2020, and is completing her doctorate in education.
